You’ll be taken on an emotional journey with David Perry, the central character, as he unlocks the mystery of a part of his past he never knew existed - - - a past that’s been hidden from him for thirty-five years. As the lost memories unfold David discovers a love so powerful it transcended the purely physical; a loss so devastating that it changed his whole life.
And a promise that, if he can keep it, will return to him all that he cared most about in the whole world.

MY REVIEW

How will you feel when you expect nothing from something and then that something gives you a mind-blowing experience?  That something was this novel.  I kept thinking about it and was smiling happily for a day, before starting this review.

Here is the story of David and Lisa, who shared the most beautiful and sweetest love, one could only dream of.  David Perry, a handsome and successful musician who is in his early fifties, cannot settle down in his life with a girl.  With frequent breakups (which David admits that the other party is not at fault), David experiences a journey to the past - his past - which until that moment, he had no idea existed.  After several such journeys, David learns about his most happiest and saddest days of his past, that was lost to him for all these years.

I am from India and I was always proud of it.  This book touches down on various things, which may be considered by some as delusional or fictional, but to me, its not new.  Even though I don't believe in many of our superstitions, I am a romantic and anything is possible, when love is at work.  So, nothing this book says sounds funny to me..in fact, I felt satisfied that love has again done it.

Pain, loss and at last hope and happiness.. Perry has brought these emotions to the readers through his journey.  I admit that at first I was not much interested, but when the love between David and Lisa got stronger, I was determined that I am not going to get up until I know what happened to Lisa (sounds crazy? :)).  Thanks for such an emotional treat, Perry Martin!

I suppose if this story happened for real, there can never be a happier person than Perry Martin.  Ripping your heart apart and stitching it back again is not a task to be considered lightly.  But the author has done it.

Love beyond love!  Deserves 4.5 stars! (0.5 stars knocked up for the first few pages :))
